How It Began

Candles have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family lit them to create a sense of warmth and comfort, turning ordinary evenings into something special. As I carried this tradition into adulthood, I began to appreciate not only the glow of a candle, but the way scent could shape a space, soften the mind, and make a home feel like a true retreat.

Over the years, I burned countless candles, until a thyroid diagnosis prompted me to take a closer look at the everyday products I was using. Wanting to reduce toxins and live more intentionally, I realized how difficult it was to find candles that aligned with both my health values and my desire for beauty, comfort, and atmosphere. That realization became the spark for this company.

I began creating candles free from harmful chemicals, made with as many hand-made and locally sourced materials as possible. Each candle is designed with care, from the ingredients to the vessel itself, which can be reused long after the flame has gone out. More than anything, I wanted to create candles that feel thoughtful, safe, and deeply personal.

Scent is a powerful storyteller. It has the ability to transport us, to bring back fond memories, and to anchor us in moments we want to hold onto. My hope is that each candle does more than scent a room - that it helps people reconnect with memories, emotions, and experiences that matter.

This company is currently run by me, with the steady support of my loving partner, Will, my family and a generous group of volunteer candle testers who help shape each creation. Rooted in Cochrane, Alberta, and inspired by the Bow Valley and Western Canada, my goal is to be a meaningful part of the local community - bringing people together in new ways, encouraging slower moments, and helping create memories that linger long after the candle is finished.
